It’s not a large nonprofit, and it’s not backed by an organization, it’s simply a commitment to provide real winter survival gear to people who need it. We aim to provide high-quality winter sleeping bags, sleeping matts and emergency cold-weather supplies to individuals experiencing homelessness across Maine. Our mission
Our mission is simple and actionable: provide high-quality winter sleeping bags, thermal gear, and emergency cold-weather supplies to individuals experiencing homelessness across Maine. We partner with local businesses, outdoor gear companies and community organizations in order to fulfill our goal of providing ground level warmth to the less fortunate.
How we help
Maine’s winters are among the harshest in the United States, and unsheltered homelessness continues to rise in both rural and urban communities. Temperatures regularly drop below freezing, yet many individuals sleep outdoors with inadequate insulation. Exposure-related injuries and cold-weather fatalities are a persistent, preventable reality.
Sleeping bags
We provide durable, weather-resistant sleeping bags and high quality sleeping matts designed to withstand Maine's harsh winter conditions.
Emergency supplies
We distribute hand warmers, first-aid kits, and other essential cold-weather supplies.
